Oliver Cromwell in 1632
Edit
In 1633, Oliver Cromwell was an insignificant political figure with decades to go before his historical role as Lord Protector. Soon after King Charles I read copies of Grantville's history books concerning Charles' overthrow and execution, Cromwell was arrested and imprisoned in the Tower of London. His wife and children were killed during his arrest. Despite his isolation in the Tower's dungeons, up-timers also held captive smuggled Cromwell a hand-held radio, allowing him to communicate with the Grantville delegation. Cromwell and the Grantville delegation were rescued in 1634 by Harry Lefferts. After being freed, Cromwell traveled north to Scotland with Alexander and Julie Mackay.
