Sir Henry Gage (29 August 1597 – 11 January 1645) was an English nobleman and soldier, born into a Catholic family.
He became a professional soldier, and being a Catholic, served on the Spanish side in the long-running conflict in the Low Countries for most of his life. He was known for his ability and was described as “a complete soldier and a wise man.” He was also noted for his piety.
With the arrival of the English Civil War, Gage returned home to fight on the Royalist side. He was killed in battle in 1645.
