David Mark Weber (born October 24, 1952) is an American science fiction and fantasy author from Cleveland, Ohio.

Weber has written numerous novels and stories, ranging in genre. Arguably, his most popular character is Honor Harrington.

For the 1632 series, Weber rehabilitated John Chandler Simpson, starting with the short story "In the Navy". Subsequently, Weber co-authored 1633 and 1634: The Baltic War with Eric Flint.

In turn, Flint has contributed two stories to Weber's "Honorverse", "From the Highlands" and "Fanatic", and co-authored three novels set in the same universe: Crown of Slaves, Torch of Freedom, and the upcoming Cauldron of Ghosts.
